LIC AAO Syllabus Details

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has announced for Assistant Administrative Officer Vacancy. The Online Examination will be held in Three Phases i.e. Preliminary Examination, Main Examination & Interview Exam The full Syllabus is given below.

Phase I – Preliminary Examination: [Total Questions:100, Total Mark: 70]

** English Language test will be of qualifying nature and the marks in English Language will not be counted for ranking. Candidates equal to 20 times of number of vacancies in each category, subject to availability, will be shortlisted for Main examination.

Phase II – Mains Examination: [Total Questions:120, Total Mark: 300]

Main Examination consisting of objective test will be conducted online. Main examination will consist of objective tests for 160 marks for a composite duration of 120 minutes.

5. English Language (Letter writing & Essay) (Number of Questions – 2 & Maximum Marks – 25**)

** Descriptive test of English Language etc. will be of qualifying nature and the marks in English Language
will not be counted for ranking.

Phase III: Interview

Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for short listing for interview.

I. Depending on the number of vacancies, LIC reserves the right to set minimum qualification requirements.
in order to limit the call of candidates for an interview, as well as to establish minimum qualifying scores,
qualify for an interview. The maximum score for an interview is 60 and the qualifying scores for EWS, no qualification,

II. The number of candidates who will be called for an interview will be approximately three times the number of vacancies on

III. In the event of equal scores from two or more candidates, the order of merit for that group of candidates will be

by age (i.e. older age will be higher in the order of merit). The LIC is under no obligation to accept any

IV. Foreign candidates called for an interview will be eligible for a refund of the regular second class train/bus fare to and from the shortest route between residence and interview until
be limited to the fare of a second-class railway sleeper, including booking fees.

V. There will be no contingency/waiting list for undeclared candidates left on the main list.

The grades obtained in the main exam, as well as the grades obtained during the interview, will be taken into account when compiling the final merit list.
